Writing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, explained he finally felt able to express about his personal sorrow.

"Adequate time has elapsed that I can finally express my sorrow into words," posted Elwes, adding that his introductory moment with Reiner made him fall in love. "Once we started sharing more moments together I realized this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor shared behind-the-scenes footage from the production, remarking that he cannot recall "any day without joy".

"This story is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Values that Rob held dear. That is part of the many reasons he was the perfect person to direct it," Elwes expressed.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, saying: "Claiming that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I recall you." He ended with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Fellow Artist

In a separate tribute, revered director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the main character.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked beautifully with everyone, and he understood the human predicament of his character," Scorsese added.

In a new development, a Los Angeles court official agreed to prevent the release of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, following a petition from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A legal directive put a security hold on the investigation to prohibit the public release of "related notes, notes, reports or photos" connected to the ongoing investigation.
